Young fresh ginger roots are harvested, peeled, hand cut and blanched in boiled water.  The root pieces are rolled in cane sugar and gently heated to remove any moisture.

Ginger has been eaten as a sweet confection since the time of Marco Polo.  In the 17th century, the English would often eat a few pieces of ginger after dinner as, in addition to its contrasting sweet & sharp flavours, ginger was also known for aiding the digestive process.  This is still the case today, as well as ginger being used as a natural remedy to relieve many other symptoms.

48 HOUR DELIVERY:

• 48 Hour delivery is priced at £4.50 per order and is delivered within 1-2 working days.
• Orders must be placed by 3pm Monday – Thursday to guarantee 48 hour delivery.  
• Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on the following Monday.  
• All 48 hour deliveries will require a signature.
